GORGEOUS PHOTOGRAPHY By MELISSA GORDON
Meet Melissa ~ creativity behind the lens.
Hello!
I'm delighted that you have stumbled upon my little corner of the internet and I am totally over the moon that you want to know a wee bit more about me.
So here goes...
I am a mummy to two amazing boys, wife to Gary and mummy also to two collie dogs Jessie and Lillie.
I don't drink tea or coffee.
I adore horses, and I used to ride.
I love drama and theatre.
Everyone always wants to know how I got into photography...truth is I have always had an interest.
However the road is not always straight.. I studied Biomedical Science at Queens University in Belfast,
and I came out with a marvellous degree; but by the end of this time I had worked out that life in the lab wasn't for me.
I'm a social wee creature and I love being with people.
My lightbulb moment came with the birth of my first baby boy
( who is now 16 years old). I realised that the photographs that I was taking of him were the right idea but they were just not the perfect that I wanted.
This rekindled a blazing fire that had burned deep inside for many years.
And I set about mastering photography! I attained my LIPF (Licentiateship of the Photographic Federation of Ireland ) and I am a member of the prestigious PPANI (Professional Photography Association of Northern Ireland).

Melissa was great from start to finish! Really put us both at ease, so we were relaxed and enjoyed every minute. The photos are just superb, I totally love them! I planned the wedding from NZ and met with Melissa as soon as I arrived in NI, I felt like I had known her for years! She sat me down and went over all the final details, it really made me feel like everything was falling into place for the big day! Massive thank you to you Melissa, you really captured our day beautifully " Andrea NZ😍
Thank you so much Melissa for photographing our wedding, you were a pleasure to have, put us at ease, listened to what we wanted and the photos we have seen look amazing. Also karen who was the 2nd photographer was brilliant, the two of use really go the extra mile from lying on the ground to climbing on the wooden bridge just to get the best shot. Thank you xx ~ Christina, Newtownards |
Wedding photography is just so perfect for me. I love the buzz. Yes ~ all the buzz! The near tangible excitement of the getting ready in the morning.
The beauty of the suits and dresses (and that's just the guests lol!).
I love the love that surrounds the couple on the day. The love for each other.
The love from their families and the support from their friends. I love all the chat and the craic!
Each wedding is totally individual and that in itself is totally amazing!
My "job" is my passion.
I will give your wedding day my all.
I am just so darn dedicated to getting you the best photographs possible...even if that means rolling about on the floor (as captured by my second shooter).
At home, I live in a wee town, Comber ( home of the Comber Spud ~ which apparently grows so well as we have a micro climate of very little frost in January and February!), on the outskirts of Belfast.
I name my cars ( Yes! mad as a box of frogs); the latest one is Sydney and before that there was Bessie.

From start to finish Melissa made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease. She never got fed up or annoyed at us when we were having to wait about or missing people or not listening.... She is the most down to earth person and made our day absolutely wonderful and all the photos go by so smoothly..... I haven't been to well recently and she took this into consideration throughout the whole day, She even understood how much it meant to have some photos with my dog involved and this meant ALOT to us... She made sure we had every photo we needed and what can I say about our photos other than they speak for themselves and are absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone thinking of using her. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better and more organised photographer. Thank you so much for everything. Mr & Mrs Stewart, Lisburn xx
